Interests

     As a researcher and educator the formal concepts of most interest include edification in the creation of healthy living spaces for individuals of all income levels by promoting the manufacture and specification of interior products that have little or no detrimental effect on the residential or natural environment.

  • Entrants were given 8 hours to complete entire artwork (from blank canvas to framing) with local landscape and genre as inspiration and subject.

Design Educator’s National Exhibition

      “Alabama Roads Series – Highway 280, # 4, #12, #17”

  • Awarded BEST IN SHOW out of 65 total entries in this peer-reviewed juried competition which highlights professional design projects and visual art work by designers from the fields of architecture, interior design, graphic design, product design, lighting design, theatrical design and computer-aided design. 
  • Three entries submitted and three images accepted for 2004 show.  A total of twenty nine pieces were juried and accepted for exhibition, a 45% acceptance record.
