ITAA Constitution
The Auburn Chapter of the International Textile and Apparel Association (ITAA) is a student chapter for professionals involved with the textile and apparel industry. The primary purpose of this group is to provide students with opportunities for professional development and networking with individuals who are committed to working in the textile and apparel field.
ITAA provides students with up-to-date information on textiles and apparel, increases awareness of career and internship possibilities in the field, helps generate enthusiasm and fosters professionalism among members. The chapter sponsors lectures and numerous professional development experiences for interested students. Chapter meetings are every first and third Tuesday of each month at 7:00pm in Spidle Hall room 220.
 Amercian Society of Interior Design (ASID)
Officers
The American Society of Interior Designers is a community of designers, industry representatives, educators, and students - committed to interior design. Through education, knowledge sharing, advocacy, community building and outreach, the Society strives to advance the interior design profession and, in the process, to demonstrate and celebrate the power of design to positively change people's lives. Its more than 38,000 members engage in a variety of professional programs and activities through a network of 48 chapters throughout the Unted States and Canada. Membership in ASID provides the student with affiliation with the campus, state, and national organizations as well as access to literature and news published by ASID.
The chapter meets the first Tuesday of each month at 6:15pm, in room 136 Spidle Hall. Each meeting features a speaker geared towards broadening student's knowledge of the Interior Design field. Design contests and other activities are offered; members visit a new campus facility each spring.
 International Interior Design Association (IIDA)
Officers
The International Interior Design Association (IIDA) works to advance the value of interior design and its practitioners as well as to cultivate leadership within the profession. IIDA has more than 10,000 Members in eight specialty forums, and more than 30 Chapters around the world committed to enhancing the quality of life through excellence in interior design and advancing interior design through knowledge. Any student in Auburn University’s Interior Design program is eligible to join the campus chapter and become affiliated with the state and national organization.
Members will be eligible to participate in all activities hosted by professional chapters such as:
- IIDA’s Annual International Mentoring Week
- Student Sustainable Design Competition
- Lloy Hack Memorial Essay Competition
- Scholarship opportunities
- Continuing Education Programs
- Receiving IIDA’s Perspective magazine by mail monthly
Usual chapter meeting dates are on the third Tuesday of every month at 6:15 in Spidle Hall Room 136. Each meeting features a guest speaker that provides information of particular interest to Interior Design students.
