BUZZ ABOUT DIVERSITY ISSUES ON THE HUMAN SCIENCES e-Buzz Forum.
The College of Human Sciences (CHS@AU) academic programs take diverse paths of scientific inquiry to explore the relationship between people and their environments. The essence of human sciences is created when these applied disciplines interface, leading to one overarching mission - to enhance human well-being and the quality of life worldwide.
The focus of CHS@AU is "students first," with the goal of producing competent, socially responsible leaders for the 21st century. We are committed to ensuring that all students are accepted and included. We want everyone affiliated with the College to be an integral part of our academic community, and to be involved in fostering an environment where honest and clear communication opens the door to understanding among people. We seek to be accepting of diversity, open to new ideas and challenges, and knowledgeable about global issues.
With our Belief System and Affirmations of Diversity as our guiding principles, we in the College of Human Sciences are all participants in creating a culture where science and social responsibility come together as we strive to make the world a better place.
