Interests

     I am interested in the factors related to early literacy of children ages birth through five. I am also interested in the study of infant and toddler growth and development, especially as it relates to care and education in a group care setting.

Selected Research Projects

The social-emotional, physical and cognitive impact of developmentally appropriate practice for children receiving BELC care and education from ages 6 weeks through K4/5 upon future school success. (On-going study of BELC graduates began fall 2000.)




Comparing Quality Centers: a comparison of nationally accredited centers using the ITERS and ECERS. Served as BELC directing participant for this project funded by BE*Kare and Bright Horizons. Jim Greenman, project manager; Debra Crier, project consultant.
