Ethics are standards for professional conduct that guide the on the job behavior of professionals in
relationship to their clients, employers, colleagues, and communities. Every HDFS student needs to be familiar with
ethical standards and prepared to practice appropriate ethical behavior during
the internship. Unethical behavior on
the part of the intern can result in the student being dropped from the
internship and earning a failing grade, as well as other possible
sanctions.
