Auburn University Distance Education Programs

Several faculty members in the Department of Nutrition, Dietetics, and Hospitality Management hold appointments with the Alabama Cooperative Extension System (ACES).

ACES is the primary outreach organization for the land-grant mission of the university. Faculty holding ACES appointments are responsible for delivering research-based educational programs to the people of the state that enable these individuals and groups to improve the quality of their lives and enhance their economic well-being.

Departmental faculty holding ACES appointments currently are involved in programs related to childhood obesity, food safety, the Expanded Food & Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) and the Nutrition Education Program (NEP), among others.
