Impact
Students put philanthropy into practice with $2,500 grant to DVIC

Through a College of Human Sciences experiential learning experience, students in the CADS 5790 Grantmaking for Philanthropists class this spring were able to award the Domestic Violence Intervention Center (DVIC) nonprofit a check for $2,500, that the organization will use to address vital transportation needs in the future.

Academics
Personal style meets school spirit in CADS Apparel Design Challenge

In its third year, the What I Love About Auburn Design Challenge was led by Dr. Jia Wu, an assistant professor for apparel design and production management (APDP) in the Department of Consumer and Design Sciences, as part of the CADS 2770 Computer-Aided Design for Apparel course, that focuses on APDP students using their apparel design expertise to come up with their own unique textile/surface designs based on what they love about Auburn.

After months of perfecting every small detail in anticipation of Auburn University's premier fashion showcase, the 15th annual Fashion Event titled, “Full Circle” featured an array of colorful general, mini and capstone collections all brought to life on the runway by College of Human Sciences Department of Consumer and Design Sciences students on Thursday, April 2.
