My time in the Global Studies Program at Auburn taught me skills that directly
translated to my work with the Fulbright Program and then to law school.
One unique feature of the Global Studies Program is the method of teaching,
Problem-Based Learning, that prepares students to work in a variety of settings,
rather than only teaching one set of skills specific to a certain profession.
Problem-based learning taught me to think critically and creatively when solving
a variety of issues, including those in which I had no prior knowledge or experience.
Additionally, the Global Studies Capstone gave me real-world experience working
with different organizations and required flexibility and resiliency in order
                    to meet the clients’ needs.

This combination of adaptability and critical problem-solving skills
has helped me to be successful during both my Fulbright Grant in Honduras
and in law school. I believe that the greatest value of a degree in Global
Studies is that upon graduation, students are equipped with skills to be
successful in any workplace they choose.
