Hobbies/hidden talents?
I went to a performing arts high school in Savannah, GA where I was a
Theater major. I love theater and miss performing every day. I came to Auburn to study
Education and really never considered pursuing theater past high school but I decided to
audition for a, AU Theater and Dance show with the in Spring of ‘22 and was cast in production
called “The Wolves” at 22, in my last year of grad school and in the middle of my comps and job
searching – never give up on your dreams!
If you could study any random thing other than HDFS/MFT, what would it be?
Strangely, it would be marine biology – I grew up in coastal Georgia and would love to study sea turtles or sharks or something.
What advice would you offer to someone thinking about graduate school?
If grad school is on your radar, think about the impact you want to make, that is really what
kept me encouraged and grounded during the process. Talk with professors, current grad
students, and career coaches to see how a graduate degree could help you create that kind of
change and help you take steps towards your long-term goal
