Fun Facts
Any lessons learned?
It never hurts to ask! The most incredible doors in my life have been opened by asking questions I almost did not ask – humility and courage are not mutually exclusive!

Favorite books/movies?
Movie: Big Fish or Great Expectations (they’re both SO good, I can’t choose!!)
Book: The Art of Hearing Heartbeats by Jan-Philipp Sendker

Favorite quotes/sayings?
‘I may not know what a day may bring, but I know Who brings the day’

What advice would you offer to someone thinking about graduate school?
Be fearless in your learning. Not knowing the answer to a question, feeling a little silly when learning about a completely new topic are not causes for discouragement – those feelings are confirmation that you are growing as an academic.

What has surprised you about being a graduate student?
The things that used to intimidate me now make up my everyday. How beautiful is it that we are so much more capable than we think we are!
